Woman in the park

Since he left, she takes long walks

At night, she talks with birds

And squirrels, she likes when lights blink, and

To be talked to.

There’s nothing new,

Perhaps, that she dyes her hair black

Every two weeks or so,

And the way she wears it (now,)

That her smile is more ambiguous

And her face is covered with fresh winkles.

Paper ships

How, when or where

I don’t know

But something changed.

And now

When the waves, violently

Hit the shore

I don’t feel the need to greet them

With paper ships.

Stay

Please! Stay a little more

Maybe you’ll forget to leave

And when time comes

You will notice you´re still here

I can’t ask for it directly,

You might think I am selfish

I know that you have dreams

That you need to rush and make them true

Before you’re old and scared

But stay one moment, a little more

I haven’t seen your eyes enough
